Dr. Hulkonen has been practicing forensic psychology since earning her license in 2016. She earned her doctorate degree in clinical psychology in 2015 from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Hulkonen completed her predoctoral internship at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Shakopee and has worked as a treatment psychologist and forensic psychologist at the Minnesota Sex Offender Program.
Dr. Hulkonen founded Vantage Psychological Consultants in 2018. She has worked as a court-appointed and privately retained examiner and has experience conducting the following evaluations:

Dr. Hulkonen has completed over 350 civil commitment evaluations and over 250 Rule 20 evaluations. She also contracts with state agencies to conduct general psychological assessments to aid in diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
